Ana Brenda spoke about the difficult health crisis she experienced
During a trip to New York, the actress suffered a physical collapse due to an intense workload, which manifested as severe pain
In an honest and moving revelation, Mexican actress Ana Brenda Contreras shared the details of the serious health crisis she recently faced.
After weeks of extreme fatigue that she herself described as a "collapse of her body," the actress experienced moments of uncertainty when she was hospitalized in an emergency.
The episode began during a trip to New York to attend the Emmy Awards ceremony following the nomination of the show she appears in, “Quien es la Mascara” (Who Is the Mask?). Ana Brenda recounted that, after months of an intense workload, her body gave definitive warning signs. “I had been saying for weeks that I was very tired… I felt like something wasn’t fitting in, I felt terrible,” the actress confessed on her podcast, Ella Sin Filtros (She Without Filters).
The symptoms included intense pain in her kidneys, stomach, joints, and chest, which led to a risk of collapse that forced her to seek immediate medical attention.
The severity of her condition led specialists to consider alarming diagnoses, even mentioning procedures such as a bone marrow scraping.
“They painted a horrible picture for us… when something like this happens, the first thing you think is, ‘I have a daughter and I have to be there for her,’” she declared, visibly affected as she recalled her fear of leaving her little Aria.
Finally, the doctors managed to stabilize her after detecting a condition in which the body, faced with extreme stress or infection, overreacts by attacking its own platelets and causing massive bodily inflammation.
Fortunately, after ruling out more serious illnesses, Ana Brenda was able to return home to continue her recovery.
Today, the actress says she feels incredibly fortunate that it was just a scare, although she acknowledges that this experience has changed her perspective on the importance of listening to her body and prioritizing overall health above any professional commitment.
