The singer of “La Mordidita” celebrated his 54th birthday on December 24th, a date that holds doubly special meaning for him, as it coincides with the birth of his daughter Lucia, who turned 7 this year. The celebrations began in Central Europe. The singer was in Bratislava, Slovakia, for the closing of his tour, when he was surprised by his team and musicians. In a video shared on his social media, Ricky can be seen entering the venue while a group sang “Happy Birthday.” The most emotional moment of the evening occurred when his son Matteo appeared on stage holding a cake with lit candles, allowing the artist to make a wish before delivering an explosive performance.

From the European chill to the Puerto Rican warmth

After concluding his professional commitments, Ricky Martin immediately flew to his native Puerto Rico for what he described as a “soul reset.” The change of scenery was radical: from the dressing rooms in Bratislava to the tranquility of the “Island of Enchantment.”

“One minute: backstage in Bratislava being ambushed by my son holding the cake… Next minute: Puerto Rico, cake, hugs, Christmas,” the singer wrote on his Instagram account, calling this end of the year a “plot twist approved.”

For the official birthday celebration, there were two cakes: one for the proud father and another for the little princess of the house, Lucia.
