Woman arrested after shooting at Rihanna's mansion in Beverly Hills
According to reports, approximately 10 shots were heard coming from a vehicle parked across the street
A 30-year-old woman was arrested this Sunday after allegedly shooting a rifle at pop star Rihanna's mansion in Beverly Hills, California. According to initial reports, the singer was inside the residence at the time of the attack.
According to Page Six, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to an emergency call following the shooting, reported at 1:21 p.m. (local time). A police spokesperson confirmed to the California Post that officers quickly apprehended the suspect. Authorities confirmed that at least one bullet penetrated a wall of the residence.
Images from the scene showed yellow police tape cordoning off the residential street in front of the singer's property, as well as several officers closing it off completely.
No injuries
No injuries were reported during the incident, LAPD spokesperson Sergeant Jonathan de Vera told the Los Angeles Times. Furthermore, a source close to the artist's family reassured the press, stating that everyone is fine. According to the police report and the 911 audio, "approximately 10 shots" were heard coming from a vehicle parked across the street. Following the shooting, the vehicle involved, described as a white Tesla, fled south on Coldwater Canyon Drive, leading to a pursuit and the subsequent arrest of the suspect. As of this writing, the motive for the shooting is unknown. It has also not been revealed whether rapper A$AP Rocky, the singer's partner, and their three children—RZA, three; Riot Rose, two; and baby Rocki Irish Mayers, just five months old—were at the residence at the time of the incident. However, this is not the first security incident the artist has faced at her properties. In 2018, a man identified as Eduardo Leon broke into her former Hollywood Hills residence while she was away. The intruder managed to jump a fence and camped inside for about 12 hours before being discovered, which earned him a ten-year restraining order.
