59 workers unconscious due to ammonia gas leak in Aligarh meat factory

A major accident occurred due to leakage of ammonia gas in Al Dua Meat Factory of Aligarh. According to the information received, about 59 people are reported to be ill in this accident. People who fainted due to gas inhalation have been admitted to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College. The incident is from Al Dua Meat Factory in Rorawar police station area. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police-administration reached the spot.
Accident happened due to leaking of ammonia gas
Giving more details regarding the incident, Aligarh DM said that, a meat factory in Rorawar area was reported to have leaked ammonia gas, where most of the women do packaging work. About 50 people were admitted to the medical college after they complained of difficulty in breathing. Doctors confirmed that all are stable.
Due to the leakage of ammonia gas in the factory, 59 workers working in the factory had difficulty in breathing, due to which many fainted. Unconscious people were filled in vehicles and taken to the medical college by the local citizens. As soon as the information about the leakage of ammonia gas in the meat factory, Aligarh DM Inder Vikram Singh, SSP Kalanidhi Naithani along with the team of pollution department reached the spot. The injured people were evacuated from the factory and admitted to JN Medical College through ambulance.
