An 11-year-old boy who got trapped between a number pillar and a slab of the Nasriganj-Daudnagar bridge built over the Son river has died. He was rescued after about 29 hours. After this, he was taken to Sadar Hospital in Sasaram for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Earlier, the child could not be rescued from the rescue work that started on Wednesday evening. On Thursday morning again there was an attempt to rescue the child. The SDRF team reached the spot with oxygen cylinders. After this, with the help of a bulldozer, an attempt was made to reach the child by breaking the upper slab of the bridge. After a lot of effort, the NDRF team rescued the child, but his life could not be saved.
Bikramganj SDM said - the condition of the child is not normal
Bikramganj SDM Upendra Pal said that the child has been sent to Sadar Hospital Sasaram for better treatment. NDRF and SDRF team played an important role in successfully evacuating the child. The condition of the child is not normal at present. On the other hand, Police Station President Sudhir Kumar says that the child was missing for two days. The search for the child was being done by the relatives, when a woman passing through the road informed the people after hearing the cry of the child. After which the team reached the spot and got involved in the rescue work. After a lot of effort, the child was taken out.
Child's father was looking for a way out safely
The 11-year-old child fighting for life and death is Ranjan Kumar, son of Shatrudhna Prasad alias Bhola, resident of Khiriawan village. He was missing for the last two days. The child is mentally weak. The relatives were continuously searching for him here and there. The villagers who reached the spot tried to reach the child with the help of rope and ladder but failed. After about 29 hours, when the child was taken out, the father's eyes were filled with tears. He said thank God that his child was saved.
