A bus going to participate in the state-level program of Birsa Munda Jayanti i.e. Tribal Pride Day, organized in Shahdol, overturned uncontrollably. Bus number MP-20 PA 2177 was going to Shahdol with about 50 passengers from Kundaval in Sihora. President Draupadi Murmu is also participating in the program organized in Shahdol.

The passenger bus that came out of Sihora overturned uncontrollably in Pakarian village of Umariapan. On getting information about the incident, the local administration reached the spot with the help of villagers and pulled the injured out of the bus. The injured were admitted to Umriyapan Health Center for first aid. One died in the accident. According to the administrative officials, the name of the deceased is Anshu Kol (Kudaval resident). Senior officials including Collector Avi Prasad and SP Sunil Jain reached the house of the deceased and consoled him. Some of the injured have been referred to Jabalpur hospital for treatment.
