On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at a sweltering 44.7 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has forecasted the arrival of the monsoon in the city by the end of June. The national capital is experiencing severe heat, with the maximum temperature staying above 40 degrees Celsius for the last 15 days. Monsoon is anticipated around June 27. For Thursday, the department predicts strong winds and partly cloudy weather, with maximum and minimum temperatures expected to be around 45 and 30 degrees Celsius respectively.
Weather Conditions in Other States
Rajasthan
The maximum temperature in many parts of Rajasthan was recorded two to five degrees Celsius above normal on Wednesday. Ganganagar was the hottest place in the state with 46.7 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department predicts the maximum temperature in the northern and western parts of the state to be between 44-46 degrees Celsius over the next two to three days. Strong surface winds at a speed of 25-30 kilometers per hour are also expected in some areas.
Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh continues to endure extreme heat, with Kanpur city recording a day temperature above 47 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department indicates no immediate relief from the scorching heat and has issued a severe heat wave alert for almost all places in Uttar Pradesh for the next five days.
Bihar

Residents of Bihar will continue to face the heatwave, with 15 districts of South Bihar affected on Wednesday, disrupting normal life. In Patna, the maximum temperature has remained above 40 degrees Celsius for six consecutive days. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for seven districts, including Patna, for Thursday, and an orange alert for 13 districts, signaling severe heat within the next 24 hours.
Jharkhand
Jharkhand is also in the grip of severe heat, with temperatures in 10 districts crossing 42 degrees Celsius. There are no signs of the monsoon arriving in the state until June 16, though rain is expected in some parts from June 17. Severe heat is predicted for Kolhan and Palamu divisions on June 13-14, prompting a 'red alert'. An 'orange alert' has been issued for the remaining districts.

Rain Forecast for Other States
According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rains are expected over Maharashtra, coastal and northern interior Karnataka, and Telangana on Thursday, with heavy rains in some areas. Light to moderate rains may also occur over Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, southern Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh. Light rain is forecast for southern Madhya Pradesh, southern Gujarat, and south-eastern Rajasthan.
