After the statements of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal, even in Bihar, people of a particular community have started protesting by taking to the road. Protests are being reported from Ara, Bhagalpur, Buxar, Siwan, and Nawada, including the capital Patna, on Nupur Sharma's statement. Here, a large number of police forces were deployed to prevent any untoward incident.
The effect of Nupur Sharma's remarks against Prophet Mohammad was also seen in Bhagalpur on Friday. After Friday prayers to the shops of Shah Market in the city, people of a community got all the shops closed. Here, on this incident, Khanqah Pir Damadiya Shah Fakre Alam Hasan told that till now he himself or any religious leader has not called for the prisoner. He said that it is absolutely condemnable to comment on the religious leader of any community.
Our sources from Arrah told that after Friday prayers, people of a community came out on the road and got all the shops closed. The protesting people were demanding their arrest along with raising slogans against Nupur Sharma. He said that our protest will continue till Nupur Sharma is not arrested.
Angered by the controversial statement of former BJP leaders, the people of the Muslim community expressed their displeasure by taking out a procession on Friday. The people involved in the procession raised slogans like arrest Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal immediately, give them the harshest punishment etc. There were placards in the hands of the people involved in the procession, in which there was anger on the face and slogans written on arrest Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. The people of the Muslim community, who came from all the villages of the block in the sports ground of the block regarding the controversial statement, reached Thana Chowk from the block ground to Hospital Chowk and Jamo Chowk, demanding arrest from the government for their rhetoric against the glory of the prophet.
