ED's big action in Delhi Liquor Policy case, raids on 35 locations in Delhi-Punjab and Hyderabad
The ED had also conducted raids on September 28 in connection with the Delhi liquor scam.
The Enforcement Directorate has taken major action on Friday in the Delhi Liquor Policy scam case. ED has conducted fresh raids at 30 locations in Punjab and Hyderabad including Delhi-NCR. Earlier, the ED had conducted raids in the month of September. During this, the ED had also arrested 2 people. However, the politics between the Center and the Delhi government is intensifying by giving liquor policy scam. On the previous day, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had also raised questions on the action of the ED.
Action on liquor companies and distributors continues
Let us tell you that the Delhi government has withdrawn this policy. According to the news agency PTI, this action of the ED is being done on liquor distributors, companies and their affiliated entities. Earlier, the ED had conducted raids on 103 locations. It is noteworthy that Delhi's Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena had recommended a CBI inquiry into the irregularities in the implementation of the Delhi Liquor Policy 2021-22. At the same time, 11 excise officers have also been suspended in this case so far.
CM Kejriwal raised questions on the action
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal surrounded the central government regarding the action of ED. He had said that more than 500 raids have been conducted so far regarding the liquor policy. But the officials did not get anything. He had said that the time of the officers is being wasted 24 hours. First raids were conducted at Manish Sisodia's house. But the ED did not find anything there. He said that the country will never progress by such action. All this is being done for dirty politics.
Sameer Mahendru was arrested by ED
Let us tell you that the ED had raided on September 28 regarding the scam. During this, Korbari Sameer Mahendru was arrested. According to the ED report, Mahendru had paid huge sums of money to close aides of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for huge irregularities in the formulation of the liquor policy and implementation of the policy.
