However, no one has died in all these incidents. In Kewal Thatheri market, a woman jumped from the third floor to the roof of the adjacent two-storey building, due to which she suffered severe back and leg injuries. Lodipur Fire Station Incharge Ajit Kumar said that there were six-seven fire incidents in his area. All were extinguished in time, due to which the fire could not progress further.
Property worth 15 lakh destroyed due to fire in electric equipment shop
A sudden fire broke out in the shop of Parasnath's Paras Light, located at Ashok Rajpath Gandhi Chowk Thatheri Bazar of Pirbahor police station, at 12 o'clock late on Monday night. The fire broke out immediately due to the presence of electric boards, wires and other inflammable items inside the shop. The building in which the said shop is located is G+3. The entire family of shopkeeper Parasnath lives on the first and second floors. The fire immediately took a formidable form and the whole house turned into smoke. The people around took down many people above. But Parasnath's daughter-in-law Kavita Kumari got scared and went to the terrace of the third floor. After this she jumped on the roof of the adjacent two-storey house. Due to jumping from about nine-ten feet above, he has suffered injuries in his leg, back and head and has been admitted to the hospital. According to Parasnath, six fire tenders had arrived and the fire was doused. In this incident, their belongings worth 15 lakhs have been burnt.
Loss of lakhs due to fire in Sari godown in Machuatoli
A sudden fire broke out in the Machuatoli Sari godown in Kadamkuan police station late on Monday itself. The fire immediately took a formidable form and the people living upstairs in the house somehow escaped through the stairs and ran outside. On getting information about the incident, four fire tenders arrived from Kankarbagh Fire Brigade and after a lot of effort, the fire was brought under control. Property worth lakhs has been damaged in this incident.
