United States sends a double message about security with Mexico after call between Trump and Sheinbaum

This Thursday, a telephone conversation took place between the United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Juan Ramon de la Fuente.
In this communication, both officials agreed that the two countries have "significant challenges" in security matters, as detailed in a joint statement.
“The secretaries reaffirmed the importance of the alliance between the United States and Mexico, based on mutual respect for sovereignty, while recognizing that more must be done to address shared threats,” the document details.
However, in a message posted minutes later on fentanyl.
“The United States made it clear that incremental progress in addressing border security challenges is unacceptable. Future bilateral contacts will require concrete and verifiable results to dismantle narco-terrorist networks,” the message on the social network reads.
