Brazil Candidate as Host for the 2029 Club World Cup
The Club World Cup has been a sporting success in its first edition after a great group stage
The 2025 Club World Cup is proving to be a great success and Brazil already wants to get to work as a host for the next edition.
The president of the Brazilian Football Federation confirmed that they are applying to be a possible host for the next Club World Cup and that Gianni Infantino was open to the idea.
“Xaud stated that Brazil is at the highest disposal football entity to host the 2029 Club World Cup. Infantino was happy and very receptive to the idea," the CBF reported along with a photo of the Brazilian leader and Infantino.

Samir Xaud, president of the Federation, reported that after speaking with Infantino about the Club World Cup, the idea of ??hosting the club came up and now they will work to make it a reality.
"It all started with an introductory talk. I talked about my goals as head of the CBF and said that we want to get closer to FIFA. I praised the event and the level of the Brazilian clubs and, finally, I offered the country as a host of the next World Cup. President Gianni Infantino was very happy and said it was totally possible. Now we are going to work to make it happen. It will be a great goal," said Xaud.
Brazil has demonstrated its power in the Club World Cup
Conmebol has four Brazilian teams in the Club World Cup and all are having a good performance and even with historic games.
Botafogo defeated PSG 1-0 and has six points out of a possible six and is close to qualifying for the round of 16 final.
Palmeiras have four points after defeating Al Ahly and drawing with Porto, so they are very close to qualifying.
Flamengo also made history by defeating Chelsea 3-1 and are one of the first teams to secure their qualification to the next round.
Fluminense drew in their first match against Borussia Dortmund and will play Ulsan Hyundai in the second matchday.
The Club World Cup is demonstrating the desire and interest of South American teams to provide themselves at the highest level in Europe.
