Russo's goal came amid a silent stadium, which had become a scene of pure emotion. After a counterattack down the left flank, the striker pushed the ball inside the six-yard box and fell to the turf, while his teammates ran to hug him.

On his knees, in tears, he looked up to heaven and dedicated the goal to his father. He then showed off a tattoo with the phrase "Todo se cura con amor" (Everything is cured with love), words that became famous during Miguel Russo's time in Colombia, when he was undergoing cancer treatment while managing Millonarios.

The player had traveled to Rosario after his father's wake to play in the match against Tigre. In statements later, he acknowledged that it was a difficult decision, but one motivated by the love and legacy his father left behind.

"They were very tough weeks, months, and days. The club supported my decision to play, and Diego (Dabove, the coach) knew what I was going through. Today is a day to remember him with a smile, which was characteristic of him. I sent him a kiss to heaven," said the player.

Meanwhile, in another match at the start of Matchday 12 of the Argentine Clausura Tournament, San Lorenzo suffered a tough 0-1 home defeat against San Martin de San Juan.
