Yoenli Hernandez predicts knockout in the eighth in Canelo vs. Crawford
Yoenli Hernandez participated in Canelo Alvarez's training camp and has no doubts that he will beat Terence Crawford
Yoenli Hernandez predicted that Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez will knock out Terence Crawford in the eighth round and retain his undisputed 168-pound championship this Saturday, September 13 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
In an interview with MillCity Boxing, Hernandez - an undefeated middleweight contender - participated in Canelo Alvarez's training camp and has no doubts that he will beat Crawford.
"My prediction on this one is that I only give it an eighth round. At some point, Boots didn't know how to handle some of the things Canelo presented to him in the sparring session. Canelo found a way to approach Boots, and that's why he benefited more from the sparring than he did," she said.
According to experts' predictions, Terence Crawford will be at a disadvantage due to his weight and will not be able to defeat the Mexican, but others believe that Size won't be an issue, as the American has the skills necessary to beat the 168-pound champion on his own turf.
After the duel with Cuban William Scull, where the Mexican fighter was criticized for his lackluster performance, many experts in the sport have changed their minds and see Bud with real chances of winning because they think the Guadalajara native is in decline.
If the American wins, he would become a three-time undisputed champion in different weight classes and make history in the sport, while Canelo Alvarez could end Crawford's undefeated record and send him into retirement once and for all.
Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, 34, became undisputed champion for the second time at super middleweight after defeating William Scull and now has a record of 63 wins (39 by knockout), two losses and two draws in his professional career.
For his part, Terence Crawford, 38, became a four-division champion by defeating Israel Madrimov and remains one of the best pound-for-pound fighters. The undisputed American two-time champion now has 41 wins, 31 of them by knockout.
