North Korea has been accused of stealing large amounts of cryptocurrency. Also, it is alleged that North Korea is trying to steal sensitive data from there by targeting the networks of defense companies and foreign aerospace companies. An independent monitoring organization has given this information to the Security Council of the United Nations. The report claimed that North Korea is increasingly trying to steal sensitive data by breaking into the digital networks of cyber finance and weapons programs with the help of sophisticated cyber technology. 

According to the report, in the year 2022 itself, hackers from North Korea have stolen the maximum number of cryptocurrencies. The report said that hackers associated with North Korea stole cryptocurrencies worth $ 630 million i.e. about 52 billion Indian rupees in 2022 itself. Although North Korea has denied the allegations of cyber attack. It has been told in the report that the technology with which the hackers of North Korea are hacking is very sophisticated and due to this it is very difficult to track the stolen cryptocurrency. 

It has been reported in the report that organizations controlled by the North's premier intelligence agency are carrying out these hacking incidents. Organizations like Kimsuki, Lazarus Group and Andrei are prominent among them.
