US: It felt as if Shri Ram had come - devotees took out a car rally in Houston before the consecration of Ram temple

Preparations are in full swing for the inauguration of the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Ram Nagari is being decorated for the Pran Pratistha ceremony to be held on 22 January. There is enthusiasm not only in the country but in the world about the consecration ceremony of Ram temple. Members of the Hindu American community took out a massive car rally in Houston on Sunday amid hymns and slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram'. This rally stopped at 11 temples on the way.
The temple administration was given a formal invitation by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) of America to attend the consecration ceremony to be held in Ayodhya on January 22.
Traveled a hundred miles
More than 500 people carrying saffron banners bearing images of the Ram temple, the Indian flag and the American flag took out a rally of 216 cars. This rally covered a distance of hundred miles. The rally was flagged off by Houston philanthropist Jugal Malani from Shri Meenakshi Temple and it concluded in the afternoon at Shri Sharad Amba Temple in Richmond.
More than two thousand people participated
The rally was led by a truck crossing the busy streets of Houston. The rally, taken out with slogans of Jai Shri Ram, stopped at 11 temples in six hours. About 2,000 young and old devotees welcomed the procession with hymns at the temples. Every person present in the temple seemed mesmerized by the slogan of 'Jai Shri Ram' and the sound of conch. Kusum Vyas, founder of Living Planet Foundation, said that it was a great pleasure to experience this moment with Ram devotees.

Houston volunteers Achalesh Amar, Umang Mehta and Arun Mundra had organized such a rally for the first time. Amar, a member of VHPA, said that Lord Shri Ram lives in the hearts of Houstonians. For those participating in the car rally, the devotion and love shown by the more than 2,500 devotees who gathered at various temples was overwhelming.
Shri Ram himself should have reached Houston
Mehta said, 'The atmosphere was full of devotion and love. It seemed as if Shriram himself had reached Houston. Mundra said that a beautiful invitation basket has been presented to the temple administration. This basket contained a formal invitation from VHP, sacred rice from Ayodhya, Ram Parivar, Ganga water, a copy of Sundar Kand and some sweets. He said that this was given to each temple requesting them to participate in the Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav of the grand Shri Ram Lalla Temple.
