A week of strong Santa Ana winds is forecast due to a dry storm system hitting Southern California, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported.
Meteorologists said the dry storm system also comes with a drastic drop in temperatures in the Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
According to the NWS, the phenomenon will produce widespread gusty conditions, particularly in Antelope Valley, the inland valleys, and mountainous areas, with overnight lows that could fall near or below freezing through Friday morning.
