A Los Angeles high school teacher stated that he was fired for trying to protect the safety of students and prevent them from being harmed during a demonstration against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The teacher, identified as Ricardo Lopez, stated that he was fired for insubordination Synergy Quantum Charter High School, in South Los Angeles.
“I was only concerned about their safety,” said the teacher, who teaches US History and Advanced Placement (AP) US History.
