A storm system with winter storm-like conditions is on its way to Southern California, and its first effects are expected in the region Monday night, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported.
According to meteorologists, the effects of the unusual “winter storm” conditions are expected to continue into Wednesday morning.
“Widespread light to moderate showers with the potential for heavy rain and Localized thunderstorms and gusty winds are expected,” the NWS said in its synopsis of the forecast discussion for the area, released Sunday morning.
