Armed command kidnapped former Zacatecas police director
To date, no communication has been received demanding any reward for the release of the former official.
The State Attorney General's Office (FGJE) of Zacatecas confirmed the kidnapping of Gustavo Domínguez Saldívar, former director of the entity's Investigative Police, who was intercepted by unknown individuals in the state capital.
According to the agency, the events occurred when the victim was on public roads and was intercepted by an armed group.
The authorities reported that during the first investigations it was possible to identify a vehicle allegedly related to the case, which remains under operational monitoring and analysis.
The FGJE indicated that, so far, no communication has been received demanding any reward for the release of the former official, so investigations continue to clarify the circumstances of the event.
The institution specified that Domínguez Saldívar stopped working in the Prosecutor's Office a year and eight months ago; However, he stressed that this condition does not diminish efforts to achieve its prompt location.
The Prosecutor's Office also reported that it maintains coordination with different security corporations to find the whereabouts of the victim and determine the responsibility of those involved.
The case has generated attention because Gustavo Domínguez held one of the main positions within the state's criminal investigation structure, in a context marked by the security challenges faced by Zacatecas.
