Operation against child exploitation arrests 42 people in Riverside
A year investigation of "Operation Volcano" in Riverside culminates with the identification of 500 distributors of child sexual abuse material
An operation against child exploitation that lasted for a year in Riverside County resulted in the arrest of 42 people and the identification of more than 500 alleged distributors of child sexual abuse material.
The covert multi-agency operation, called “Operation Volcano”, was led by the Riverside County Child Exploitation Team (RCCET), with the goal of identifying and arresting individuals suspected of sharing material online.
In a statement, the Riverside County district attorney reported that “Operation Volcano” took place on March 2 025 to March 2026 between RCCET and O.U.R. Rescue, non-profit organization specialized in combating child exploitation.
