Brooklyn Beckham misses sister Harper's birthday party
While the Beckham family sent heartfelt messages to Harper, her older brother didn't show up at her birthday party.
Harper Beckham's fifteenth birthday celebration was marked by one notable absence: that of her older brother, Brooklyn. As reported by Page Six. The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham did not attend the party, which shows the deep fracture that the family has been going through since the beginning of the year.
Harper was photographed celebrating her birthday at Sant Ambroeus Italian restaurant in West Palm Beach, Florida, alongside her parents and brothers Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21. Romeo and Cruz's girlfriends, Kim Turnball and Jackie Apostel, respectively, were also present at the family outing.
For the occasion, Harper wore a white dress, while her mother opted for a tight black dress. David Beckham paired a white T-shirt with a suit jacket, and his brothers dressed more casually in T-shirts and pants.
Harper's failed reconciliation attempt
Brooklyn's absence from Harper's birthday comes just a month after the teenager attempted to reconcile with her brother.
Harper visited Brooklyn's residence in Beverly Hills, California, unannounced, shortly after her father's ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, the attempt failed when Brooklyn and Peltz were not home, and Harper left seconds after arriving.
Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz described the attempted reconciliation as a media setup. A representative for the couple stated at the time: "The fact that there were photographers present when the letter was hand-delivered says it all: this was set up for the cameras. David and Victoria Beckham, for their part, considered these accusations 'absurd.'
The family fracture became public in January, when Brooklyn posted a strong message on Instagram denouncing her parents and accusing them of trying to ruin her relationship with Peltz. In that post, the founder of “Cloud23” hot sauce stated that he did not wish to reconcile with his family.
Since then, Brooklyn has been absent from all Beckham family events and celebrations. The situation especially affected Harper, who, according to sources close to Page Six, is “devastated” by her brother's decision not to speak to her. The two brothers, who previously shared a close bond, are now estranged.
