Deal of daughters on stamp paper, NHRC in action, notice given to Rajasthan government
It has come to the fore in media reports that girls are being sold on stamp paper in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. Auction of daughters is being done openly in Rajasthan.
NHRC (National Human Rights Commission) has issued a notice to the Rajasthan government. In the notice, the commission has claimed that girls in the age group of 8 to 18 years are sold on stamp paper in half a dozen districts of Rajasthan, and if not, their mothers are raped. The commission has asked the Rajasthan government to file a reply to the notice issued in this matter.
Actually, after the news related to the purchase of girls on stamps in Rajasthan came in the media, BJP leader Sambit Patra made a tweet taking a dig at the Rajasthan government. In his tweet, Sambit Patra had written that, the slogan of the Congress party is 'I can fight a girl', but see the reality in Rajasthan, where open auction of sisters and daughters is going on. Tired of the misrule of Congress, now the daughters of Rajasthan are saying; 'I am a girl, I can survive, only then I can live in Rajasthan.'

However, after the matter came to light, the public representative immediately took cognizance. Bhilwara MP Subhash Bahedia has also written a letter to CM Ashok Gehlot demanding action.
The Human Rights Commission says that, taking suo motu cognizance on the basis of a media report, a notice has been sent to the Rajasthan government. In fact, it has been told in the report that if there is any kind of dispute, especially in matters of financial transactions, girls between the age group of 8 to 18 years are auctioned to recover the amount. These girls are sent to another state. Sometimes even sent abroad.
