It is known that there are 1.89 lakh Anganwadi workers in the state.
A single bench of Justice Alok Mathur gave this decision on the petition of Manisha Kanojia and another. The petitioners said that they are working as Anganwadi workers in Anganwadi Center City Guleria Garda in Barabanki district.
He has been deputed by the administration for the duty of Booth Level Officer (BLO) in the local body elections. This is against the orders and instructions of the Central and State Government. This deployment will affect the system of health care of children and mothers in the area. The petitioners argued that other village level personnel could be engaged in the election work.
On the other hand, in response from the DM and other parties, it was said that the work of election is of utmost importance. In such a situation, all the officers have to cooperate in this. On this, the court said that the work of these workers is very important. Duty in their election or any other work will have a serious impact on the health of pregnant women and others.
