California authorities reported the discovery of a body near the place where an experienced triathlete disappeared last week in the Pacific Grove area. She may have been attacked by a shark.
The body of Erica Fox, 55, was recovered from the ocean south of Davenport Beach, according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office. Due to its proximity to a recent shark attack victim off the coast of Monterey County, Santa Cruz deputies are working in conjunction with officers from Monterey County and the Pacific Grove Police Department.
