Although there is still more than a month to go until Halloween is celebrated, the Disneyland resort is already armed with a myriad of offerings not only in terms of attractions in its parks, but also in terms of what one can eat during their stay in what is known as "the happiest place on earth."

"We have 89 new dishes distributed throughout the resort,” said Chef Juan Mendoza, originally from Aguascalientes, Mexico, and part of the select team of culinary professionals who contribute ideas and concepts each year to create seasonal menus.

This time, during Halloween Time, which ends on October 31, Disneyland also celebrates seven decades of existence with the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, which will continue for several more months with events, menus, and shows themed around the holiday.

An example of what visitors can find to eat at Family Plaza in Disney California Adventure —in addition to music, art, dance, and traditions— is traditional food with a Disney touch, such as the innovative quesadilla stuffed with chicken pibil, red bell peppers, and grilled onions, topped with chipotle cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo.

Also served are the classic tacos al pastor —served with beans and rice—, and bionic bunuelos, which are tortilla chips Covered in cinnamon and sugar, they are filled with fresh fruit, toasted coconut, and sweetened condensed banana milk.

For singing and dancing in this park, check out The Storytellers of the Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!, a street show celebrating family bonds. After each performance, guests can take photos with Miguel from Coco, who comes to life as a dimensional animated figure.

In this plaza, guests can find new merchandise themed after the film Coco—including Miguel's guitar and Pepita the alebrije—the Day of the Dead-themed movie from Pixar Animation Studios. This celebration at California Adventure continues through November 2,which is the date on which, in Latin American tradition, deceased loved ones are venerated.

Halloween Time is one of the favorite celebrations for thousands, not only because of the culinary offerings, but because the park and its corners become a dream place. There are autumn decorations at every turn, but perhaps the most iconic feature is the giant pumpkin Mickey Mouse on Main Street, USA. This spot is a favorite with selfie takers as well as a place where thousands of families take their photo memories.

Other attractions that have been transformed at Disney California Adventure include Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween, Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.

Meanwhile, at Disneyland Park, the magnificent and always surprising Haunted Mansion Holiday is transformed into an adorable house inspired by Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Meet and greet Disney characters are another experience that defines the season. Only this time, Mickey, Minnie, and their friends are wearing super-special Halloween outfits inspired by Disneyland's 70th anniversary.
