Hindi Diwas 2022: Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14 September. For the people who like Hindi language, 14th September i.e. today is of great importance. On Hindi Diwas, a function will be organized at Project Bhawan auditorium in Ranchi at 1.30 pm. The function will be organized by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will attend it as the chief guest.

BIT Mesra's Department of Official Language and CDAC-Pune together have developed translation software 'Kamthastha'. This software will be able to do memory based translation. On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, training was given on the installation and use of this software. Students and professors of various departments were present in the training session. The software will also be available in the mobile app version. Its purpose is to make the work easier in the organization by the use of Hindi language. Dr. Piyush Tiwari of Hindi cell told that with the help of software, technical subjects of various departments can be translated into Hindi. Along with this, letters and magazines in the institution will now be prepared in Hindi also. Along with this, Hindi will also be given prominence in various departments.

On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Hindi Pakhwada is being celebrated from 10 to 14 September at BIT Mesra. In this sequence, Hindi essay writing, debate, Hindi typing competition and others are being organized among the students. This program is being organized under the guidance of Deputy Hindi Officer Dr. Amit Kumar Tiwari and Dr. Neeraj Singh of Literary Society.

Ranchi University has nine departments of tribal and regional languages. Among them, Nagpuri, Kurukh, Ho, Panch Pargania, Khadia, Nagpuri, Mundari, Santhali and Khortha are taught.
