In Chandigarh University, the issue of objectionable videos is taking a big form. The students of a private university in Mohali, Punjab, demonstrated on a large scale over the rumor of making objectionable videos of several girl students. Now the police will search for the Shimla boy in this case. At present, investigation is going on in this matter.
A girl arrested in objectionable video case, looking for Shimla boy
Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Vivek Sheel Soni told reporters that there was a protest at the university after rumors of several girl students making objectionable videos . The police officer said that in the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the arrested girl student shared her own video with a person told to be from Himachal Pradesh. He said that the role of that person is also being investigated. He said that a case has been registered under Section 354C of the Indian Penal Code and Information Technology Act and a student has been detained. ADGP Gurpreet Dev said, the boy from Shimla knows the girl. When the boy will be arrested and forensic examination of the phone will be done then everything will be clear. Video deleted from forensics is also likely to come out.
University administration denied reports of making videos of many girl students
The university administration, however, has denied reports of several girl students making videos and sharing them on social media. Dr Arvinder Singh Kang, Director, Students Welfare, Chandigarh University said, "In the investigation done by us at the primary level, the case of making videos of other girl students has not come to the fore. He said, for a transparent investigation, the university authorities have lodged an FIR with the police. Rumors of some girl students trying to commit suicide and MMS of 60 girl students are not true.
Police claim student only shared her video
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann ordered a probe into the entire matter after Saturday midnight protest at Chandigarh University campus located on Ludhiana-Chandigarh road. The police claimed that the accused student in the case had only shared her video. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that those involved in the case will get strict punishment.
