Russia attacks kyiv with a strong wave of missiles and drones
At least four dead and twenty injured were recorded in several areas of the Ukrainian capital
Combined attacks with Russian drones and missiles caused the death of at least four people and twenty injured early Friday morning in kyiv, Ukrainian authorities announced.
"kyiv suffered another attack with UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and ballistic missiles. Rescuers are responding to the consequences in various locations across the city,” the State Emergency Service of Ukraine wrote on Telegram.
The mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko, reported on the same social network that four people were “confirmed dead” and 20 were injured, of whom 16 were hospitalized.
The shelling wreaked havoc on the city’s subway tracks, according to civil and military authorities. And the national railway company reported damage to rails in the region, affecting train traffic serving the southern outskirts of Kyiv.
Several attacks also hit the city of Lutsk in western Ukraine and the Ternopil region.
The shelling injured five people in Lutsk, about 150 kilometers north of Lviv, where explosions were heard.
