The 10 launches with which Mercedes-Benz will change in 2026
Mercedes-Benz is preparing a major renewal for 2026 with new electric cars, SUVs and sports cars that will redefine its future range
Mercedes-Benz has marked 2026 as a key year to redefine its future. The German company is preparing one of the biggest product renewals in recent times, with a combination of completely new vehicles and deep updates that will touch practically all of its segments.

The strategy will be clear. The brand will seek to accelerate electrification without abandoning traditional models that are still in strong demand, offering a range where combustion engines, hybrids and electric vehicles coexist under the same identity of luxury and technology.

New electric sedans to strengthen the range
One of the most important premieres will be the new Mercedes C-Class EV, the all-electric variant of its well-known medium sedan. Its arrival is scheduled for the second half of 2026 and will have the mission of competing against future premium electric models from brands such as BMW and Audi.
The model will use a platform developed specifically for electric vehicles and could have high-performance sports versions. Among them stands out the possibility of an AMG C 63 EV with more than 600 horsepower thanks to a system composed of two electric motors.
Mercedes is also preparing a deep renovation for the S-Class, its highest representative of luxury. The update will include visual changes, new technological elements and the addition of the MB:OS operating system, designed to improve connectivity and assistance functions.
In addition, the current EQS will no longer function as an independent family to be integrated into the electric S-Class name, a decision with which Mercedes seeks to simplify its catalog and make the relationship between its electric and traditional models clearer.
More electric in the executive and SUV segments
The zero-emissions offensive will continue with the arrival of the E-Class EV, a model that will take the place of the current EQE and that will seek to recover the classic image of Mercedes executive sedans, but with a completely electric architecture.
Along with this launch, updates will also arrive for the EQE and EQS SUVs. These models will receive improvements in design, autonomy and technology, in addition to a new naming strategy that will bring them closer to the electric E-Class and S-Class families.
Mercedes' intention is that customers can more easily identify which electric model corresponds to each segment, without depending on a separate nomenclature as was the case with the EQ family.
AMG also enters a new stage
The AMG sports division will have an important role in this transformation. In 2026, the electric Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door will arrive, a model developed on the new AMG.EA platform that will seek to maintain the sporty sensations that characterize the brand.
This vehicle will be accompanied by a new electric AMG SUV, designed to compete in the high-performance segment with a proposal that combines space, luxury and performance without direct emissions.
For Mercedes, these models will be proof that electrification can coexist with the emotional character that has historically accompanied AMG.
New SUVs to expand the family
The SUV segment will also have important new features. The new generation of the GLB will arrive with electrified combustion versions and fully electric alternatives, using the Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA), the same base that will give life to other compact models of the company.
But one of the launches that generates the most expectations is the so-called “baby G-Class”. It will be a smaller SUV inspired by the iconic G-Class, with a robust and boxy aesthetic, although with a more urban and accessible approach.
This model will have electric and combustion versions, seeking to bring the spirit of the Geländewagen to a broader group of buyers.
GLE and GLS will receive an update
Mercedes' largest SUVs will not be left out of the renewal either. Both the GLE and GLS will receive improvements to remain competitive within the premium family segment.
The changes will be focused on design, technology, safety and mechanical efficiency, including electrified options that allow us to meet the new demands of different international markets.
With these updates, Mercedes seeks to keep two fundamental models current within its global catalog.
