Tension is continuously increasing between India and Canada regarding Khalistani supporters and activities. Meanwhile, Indian-origin Canadian MP Chandra Arya on Monday shared a purported video of Khalistani supporters in Surrey, claiming they wanted to create trouble at the Hindu Lakshmi Narayan temple.
Call for strict action
Canadian MP Arya shared this video on social media platform X. Also, called upon the authorities to take action and take strict measures.
Incidents happening in the name of freedom of expression
He said that according to some reports, a Sikh family was misbehaved outside the Gurudwara in Surrey last week. Now it appears that the same Khalistani group wants to create trouble at the Hindu Lakshmi Narayan Temple in Surrey. He further said that all this is being done in the name of freedom of speech and expression. So once again I'm asking Canadian authorities to step up and take action.
Attacked several times in the past years
Arya said that Hindu temples have been attacked several times during the last few years. Hate crimes are being committed against Hindu-Canadians. He said it is not acceptable to allow these things to continue openly and publicly
